What is S1000D?

S1000D is an international XML-based specification for the production and delivery of technical publications. The format uses modular documentation that can be organized into interactive manuals or other electronic publishing format. By adopting S1000D, an aviation company ensures they have quality aircraft information and well organized technical documentation that can easily be pushed to flight and maintenance crews.

What projects have I worked?

I have worked on dozens of aircraft as a software developer, editor, writer, SME and other titles. This projects include private, military, and commercial aircraft like the A320, Gulfstream G500 & G600, Boeing 787, F-16, F-18, & F-22, de Havilland Dash-8, PW180 engines, etc. These projects generally focused on creating, managing, or transforming MIL & ATA documentation into S1000D modules or S-Series provisioning.

What is my S1000D professional background?

Since the A4A and ASD organizations signed a Memorandum of understanding in 2008, I have been working S1000D and S-Series projects on civilian and government aircraft. My education is both in journalism and computer science, and I have a wide variety of experience working with global air carriers such as Wizz Air, Cathay Airlines, and United Parcel Service (UPS) [Part 121, 129, & 135].
